Champion's League

I just had to post this....

Arsenal fans & their manager these days really get on my ti../nerves so when a joyous occasion like the Champion's league Final sees the good footballing team win, it's lovely to see it being commemorated like the above.
My little fellah was barely three months old when Wayne Bridge slammed the ball home at Highbury to end the arsenal hoo doo on the Chels, he witnessed his daddy doing a "shed stomp" around the house such was the joy I felt....for those Cincinnatians looking in Imagine Chad scoring a last minute TD for the Bengals against the Ste(a)lers in the Championship decider...yeah, that good only a million times better!

Claudio lost it at Highbury & then lost the bloody game against Monaco in the first leg of the semi final with some idiotic subsitutions....and then lost his job...but look what we received in return....

Fate is a strange mistress, Jose arrives, wins our first championship in 50 years and a Champion's League final is beckoning only to be mugged at Anfield by the "hub cap thieves'...in fairness to 'Pool though that comeback in the Final's second half was stirring stuff...they went for it and fortune favoured the Brave that night in Istanbul.

I like the fact that a scouser supporting pal told me a few months after that game. Namely that Manure can always see their Champion's League trophy if they visit Anfield as Liverpool got to keep it after winning it 5 times.

Last year, I believed that Barca did deserve their win over us and to win the thing out.

This year I feel will be different, it reminds me of the Wexford juggernaut in '96 to the All-Ireland, Likewise Dublin for the "Sam Maguire" in '95 & Chelsea for the F.A. Cup in '97 when we overhauled a 0-2 deficit against Liverpool and put 4 in without reply in the second half...there's that inevitability about it starting once again..we are not playing well and grinding out the wins, heaven help the teams we play when we do hit form!
